While we aim to provide the best trackpad experience possible, we find that all of us have our own working style and use our devices differently. We allow you to change and customise you trackpad preferences to meet your style the best way possible.
Fine Tune Your TrackPad Experience
Use the following steps to change, customise and set your trackpad preferences on your Lenovo ThinkPad and IdeaPad device.
NOTE: Please note that the following is applicable to Windows 7 Staff Lenovo Laptops only.
1. Click on Start Button on your Windows Task Bar to reveal Start Menu
2. Click on Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Mouse or search for mouse using Windows built in search facility located within the start menu to launch Mouse settings in Control Panel
3. Mouse Properties Window will launch indicating the type and model of trackpad that your devices is equipped with. Here you can set very basic options such as Enabling TrackPoint that is emended in your ThinkPad keyboard.
4. Click on 'Settings...' to reveal Synaptics Control Panel. This view offers a granular overview and control of all the customisation options available to your device. You can change your scrolling direction, Tapping, Speed, Gestures, Palm rejections and many more.
Play around with wariety of settings, ensure to hit Save and Apply where applicable to test your preference to Fine Tune it.
