On the 19th July, all Staff and Students are required to complete a Mandatory password reset for security.
This can be done from the following steps:
Scan the QR code with your mobile device
Or Go to https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/
On the Get back into your Account web page that appears, input your username in the relevant format:
- Students: your Student number@unimail.derby.ac.uk
- Staff: your Staff number@derby.ac.uk
Confirm the characters in the picture (Note: this is NOT case sensitive)
Click the Next button to continue,
Select Option 1: Forgotten Password
Click the Next button to continue,
Choose one of the verification methods listed on your account,
Follow the on-screen prompts and click the relevant button to continue: (EG: Email, Text, Call, Authenticator app).
Enter the verification code received into the box displayed on the page,
Click the Next button to continue,
Create a new password and type in both boxes
You should see a Success Message confirming your password has been reset, and be able to log back into your UDO portal with your student number and new password.
Multi-Factor Security (MFA):
Please see following link to set up a backup security method on your account EG: authenticator app or text codes on a secondary device. NOTE: DO NOT REMOVE the Authenticator app or change your device with out having a back up option set up - this will break access to your account.
