How do I request access to a shared mailbox?


To get access to a shared mailbox, you can request access from the owner of the mailbox, who may have the ability to give you permission. Alternatively you can complete Section B of the Shared Mailbox Request Form,  which can be found here:


Once the access has been granted, you can add the mailbox by going into Outlook, select File, Account Settings, Account Settings, Highlight your mailbox, select Change, Select more Settings, select  Advanced Tab, select Add, type the name of the mailbox here, select OK, then OK again, select Next, select Finish. The mailbox should now appear in Outlook
