Get a copy of the latest version to be deployed from Business Systems; this should be pre-packaged with custom configuration for the university.
In a VM with the ability to revert to a clean snapshot:
Copy the source installer over and run the command below to extract the contents.
NOTE: YOU MUST USE DOUBLE QUOTES AROUND BOTH THE EXECUTABLE AND THE TARGET PATH. YOU CANNOT USE AN ARCHIVE TOOL TO EXTRACT THE CONTENTS, THIS IS THE ONLY SUPPORTED METHOD NOT MENTIONED IN EXISTING DOCUMENTATION.
Backup your extracted files at this point as you will need to revert the VM to a clean state.
From the files you extracted, record the installation as below to create an installshield ISS file:
This will create an ISS file with the name and path you specified in this command, save this into your deployment script support files for later and revert to a clean VM state.
You can now use this with your extracted setup files to run a silent install, the ISS file must be referenced locally for example:
