AirMedia enables you to connect to a display screen or projector without the need for a cable; it allows you to connect wirelessly from a laptop or mobile device ( if connected to the Unistaff or Eduroam Wifi)
It is installed in lecture theatres at Kedleston Road and is being rolled out to other teaching rooms. It is also available in Meeting Rooms that have Mercury Units installed. If it is available there will be an AirMedia option on the touch panel in the room.

Using Airmedia
Before you can use the system you will be prompted to download a small application to connect to the AirMedia device, it’s perfectly safe and as long as you follow the instruction on the touchscreen, easy to install and use.
Laptops
Press AirMedia on the touch panel home page and type the address given into your browsers address bar, from here you will be prompted with the following screen:
Select your operating system and start the application once it has downloaded.
Please see this guide if you need help on how to install applications on a University Managed laptop
Connect to the address on screen e.g. 10.17.64.00 (all AirMedia devices within the University will begin with 10.XX.XX.XX)
You will then need to provide the PIN for that session, this can be found on the main screen in the room along the top row.
Mobile Devices
For smart devices such as iPad/Iphone & Android devices please visit your app store and download the ‘AirMedia’ app from Crestron for free.
Once the app is installed open it and enter the URL that is display on the screen in the room, select 'Present with Airmedia' and follow the instructions.
Moderator Mode*
*This is only available on Airmedia100 so this is in the OL lecture theatres, B2 and T2 lecture theatres
To moderate the connections go to the IP address of the AirMedia and select Layout control
Enter the moderator password ( IT Services can provide this)
You can then select any of the connected devices and chose to position them on the screen:
