Currently, you cannot upload a photo via the app version of UDo.
To upload a photo please go to udo.derby.ac.uk via a browser to upload your photo. This can be done either through a desktop machine or via a mobile browser.
Both new and progressing Applicant will be asked to upload an image.
Progressing Applicants you will be greeted with your current University ID Photo after clicking the Photo Upload tile:
If desired, you can then scroll down to the "Edit" option which will take you to the Photo Upload screen - this is the same screen that ->
New Applicants will be greeted with:
Images must be in .JPEG / .JPG format
Ideally, this should be under 1 MB in size - but the upload process will attempt to downsize any image, however issues may occur if the image has an unusually large file size ( more than 3 MB).
After successful upload, you will see an image awaiting approval will see the following page, after clicking "Confirm" or re-opening the tile.
You can return to the Photo upload tile at any time to change your image, providing it hasn't already been accepted by our staff - at which point you will no longer see the Photo Upload tile.
Verification Process
Please follow the instructions via the photo upload tile to ensure that your photo is accepted for use. Once uploaded your photo will then be reviewed by our staff for acceptability.
- If your photo is accepted, you’ll be notified by email (specified in your application). This photo will then be used on your student ID card and systems at the University.
- If your photo is rejected, you’ll also be notified by email and asked to upload an alternative which meets the specifications.
