This guide has been written to describe how users can install and log into Cisco Jabber from a Windows PC/Laptop.
Cisco Jabber is a unified communications application for University and personal Windows and Mac OS X devices. Use of Cisco Jabber will allow staff to send and receive phone calls, conduct IM chats to other Jabber users, and search the UoD staff directory.
Cisco Jabber does not require the use of a VPN connection, it will automatically connect to the University network and replicate the usage of a desk phone, this also includes hunt group and pickup group functionality.
