The University has many systems to help you with your studies. To access these, you'll need your Student ID and University password.
There are two main ways to access these systems, plus a third to access our W-Fi.
(To search for the correct login details you need by system, please see our separate guide - Which Login Should I Use?)
1. If you see this sign-in screen, please enter your Student ID only.
University (HE) students will have a 9 digit number e.g. 100123456
College (FE) students will have 3 letters and eight numbers, e.g. AAA12345678
2. If you see this sign-in screen, please enter your Student ID followed by @unimail.derby.ac.uk
(e.g. 100123456@unimail.derby.ac.uk, or AAA12345678@unimail.derby.ac.uk):
Please be careful that these are valid sites, the example above is from login.microsoftonline.com, there are bad guys trying to get into accounts.
If you can access your account, please setup the password reset system. This will help you access your account if your password does not work in the future. If you still can't access your account, please contact the Service Centre with your Student ID.
3. The third way? This format is only used to access Wi-Fi on campus, it's called eduroam.
The format you will need here (for HE & FE) is your Student ID, followed by @derby.ac.uk - don't include 'unimail' for this one.
More instructions are available in our Wi-Fi guide.
Your email 'Alias' - also known as your email address
This is more friendly than your username, however it's only used when sending or receiving email. This will be in the format:
[inital.surname/number]@unimail.derby.ac.uk
e.g. F.Bloggs20@unimail.derby.ac.uk
Although the Microsoft Sign in screen mentioned email address, your email alias will not work, please use your Student ID followed by @unimail.derby.ac.uk
