If you need to take a screenshot, either for Personal use or by request from IT, there are a couple of methods to do this.
At the bottom of this guide we will show you how to attach your screenshots to an IT service chat
WINDOWS
Method 1
The first method will take a screenshot of your screen or screens and save them to a screenshots folder
Press the windows key + PrtScn key on your keyboard.
If your using a Lenvo thinkpad laptop the PrtSc key will be on the bottom row
If successful your screen will darken for a second, your screenshot will be located in the screenshots folder, go to file explorer then to pictures to find the folder
Method 2
This method uses the snipping tool. This will allow you to control the screen shot and where to save it.
on your keyboard press the windows key + Shift key + S Key
you will now see the snipping tool overlay, click and drag the area you want to screenshot
once done you will get a pop up, click the pop up to open snipping tool with your screenshot
in snipping tool, click the save icon and choose a location to save your screenshot and save it as a JPG or PNG for this example i have saved it to the desktop as a JPG

Attach screenshots to chat
If you joined our chat and we are requesting a screenshot, you can attach your screenshot by clicking the paperclip icon, locating your saved screenshot (make sure its JPG or PNG) and then click open
