CMIS - Email Confirmations
Overview:
This guide outlines how to configure email settings within CMIS , which is needed in the new Azure Virtual Desktop environment. This needs to be done on a per user account basis.
(Optional) Verify Cloud Email Configuration
Cloud Email should already be set through the master configuration, but it's recommended to confirm the setup if any errors are encountered:
- Navigate to Options > Configurations > Master Configurations.
- Expand the Email tree.
Check the Cloud Email is highlighted green , as shown below. If not, please select Cloud Email and select ok.
User-Specific Email Settings
After verifying the Cloud Email feature, users must enter their email configuration.
To access and configure:
- Open CMIS within your AVD session.
- Navigate to Options > Configurations > Email.
- Under the newly available Cloud section, enter the following details:
- Email: roombookings@derby.ac.uk
- Display Name: Room Bookings
- SMTP Server Name: smtp-relay.brevo.com
- SMTP Port: 587
- Use SSL - Untick
- Username: its-ssi@derby.ac.uk
- Password: This password is provided by IT Services
Please raise a ticket with IT and we can provide the password credentials through a remote session on a per user basis.
Testing the Configuration
A simple test by the user that an email can now be sent via CMIS can be performed as follows:
1. Select a list view screen. E.g. Data | Resources| Sites.
2. In the top list view section, right click and select: Exporting | Email. An email template should open with the information from the screen inserted as a comma separated list for each row.
