The Wolfvision VZ-8Light and VZ-8Plus Visualisers are installed in a number of lecture theatres on campus including OL1, OL2, B301 & B302.
The functionality is the same on the two models but the VZ-8plus model in OL1 and Ol2 has the addition of a preview monitor built in to the visualiser.
These visualisers have an adjustable camera that allows you to display documents on the projector/ display screen - you can use them to show students what you are writing/drawing or to show objects.
Displaying the image from the Visualiser
Select the Visualiser icon on the lectern touch panel to power on and display the visualiser:
The visualiser takes a minute to start up, but if you get no image check that the power switch on the top of the visualiser is on.
You will see a preview of what is being displayed on the lectern monitor.
Adjusting the Visualiser
The Camera head can be manually adjusted to tilt /raise /lower.
Controls for the visualiser are on the touch screen when visualiser is selected.
You can zoom in /out and turn the lamp on/off:
There are additional functions on the head of the visualiser itself, e.g Freeze allows you to Freeze the image on the display screens. Press Freeze again to unfreeze.
Capturing the Visualiser in Panopto
In Panopto you can record the visualiser instead of or as well as the ceiling mounted camera.
The visualiser can selected as the primary source, or select the ceiling camera as the primary source and select the visualiser as the Secondary source. It will appear in the drop down list of inputs as ' Wolfvision UVC Camera'
