The AverVision M70HD and AverVision M70 Visualisers( Document Camera) are installed in a number of teaching rooms on campus.
This visualiser has an adjustable camera that allows you to display documents on the projector/ display screen - you can use it to show students what you are writing/drawing or to show objects.
Displaying the image from the Visualiser
Select the Visualiser icon on the lectern touch panel to power on and display the visualiser:
The visualiser takes a minute to start up, but if you get no image check that the power switch on the side of the visualiser is on.
You will see a preview of what is being displayed on the lectern monitor.
Adjusting the Visualiser
The Camera head can be tilted,raised/lowered or rotated to look at the object you are viewing:
Controls for the visualiser are on the touch screen when visualiser is selected:
You can zoom in and out,make the image black & white or negative, turn the lamp on and off.
Additional control as available on the visualiser itself, for example you can press Freeze/Stop to leave a snapshot image on the screen.
Capturing the Visualiser in Panopto
In Panopto you can record the visualiser instead of or as well as the room webcam. ( Please note M70 visualisers can't be captured in Panopto, but the M70HD visualisers can be captured)
Select the Visualiser as the Primary Source, or as a secondary source with the room webcam selected as the primary source. It will appear in the drop down list of inputs as 'Aver AV1103 USB Camera':
