How do I use AppsAnywhere?
When you load AppsAnywhere for the first time on a device, you may receive the below message. If you are on a University device then simply select "I have it already".
AppsAnywhere the website will begin to validate your session, and you will see the message "Validation in progress..." - after a few moments, your session should validate successfully. You may see the "AppsAnywhere Launcher" pop up during this time.
Once your session has been validated, you will then be able to access your applications. To find an application, simply search for your app using the search box in the centre of the page or use the “View all app” button at the bottom of the page to view a list of all applications. Once you have found the application you are looking for, select the blue "Launch" button appear, upon clicking this your app should appear after a few moments.
Note: A small number of larger applications can take a little longer to load, but will typically be available within a minute or so. Once an application has been launched, any subsequent launches on that same computer should be faster.
Your application will load automatically, and will stay available on that same computer - unless you remove it from the Cloudpaing Player. In most instances, you can open your application again via the shortcuts within the Start menu or desktop shortcuts (if applicable), or you can choose to click 'Launch' again within AppsAnywhere.
How do I open the Cloudpaging Player?
Once you have loaded an application from AppsAnywhere, they will be loaded into what is known as the "Cloudpaging Player". You can open the Cloudpaging Player by either clicking on the icon on the desktop, or searching for this within the Start menu.
This Player will show a list of applications that have been 'virtualised', those that you have loaded from AppsAnywhere. If you wish to launch an application from this view, simply select the application and click on the "Launch" button.
If you want to remove an application from the Cloudpaging Player, simply select the application and click on the "Remove" button. You can find further information on this in the following guide: Removing a Virtualised Application
